Automation earns a bad reputation when it means bidding blind. Ours doesn’t: it only queues jobs that already passed your filters and cleared your score threshold — the same rules you’d apply bidding manually, just running while you’re asleep or heads-down on client work.

At 13–20 Connects a bid, every proposal you send costs roughly $2–3. That’s the real constraint, and it’s why the scoring matters more than the volume: one AI evaluation costs a fraction of a cent and tells you whether the $2–3 is worth spending. Drafting the ones that clear your bar is a tap, so the work left is reading and sending.

What we don’t do is submit for you. Upwork’s position is that automation can prepare and support, but a human has to decide and send — and there’s no submit API at any tier. So the last click is yours, on Upwork’s own page, with the draft already filled in. Anyone promising hands-off submission is either using staffed human bidders or risking your account.

The one thing that never changes: your Upwork account stays yours. The assistant works alongside your account through the same workflow layer as the rest of the product — it does not ask for, store, or need your Upwork password.
